Extending Tax Relief For Working Families

I regret that I will miss the KPLC-TV Lake Charles Senate debate tonight, but I'm glad I'm going to help deliver a bill to the president's desk in Washington that will provide greatly needed tax relief to Louisiana working families.

My vote in the U.S. House will send a bill that extends needed tax relief for working Louisianians. And I will be fighting to see that Louisiana families get to keep their child tax credit, their marriage benefit and that we keep the extension of the 10 percent tax bracket so we can provide real tax relief to Louisiana families.

I hope the people watching tonight's debate and the other candidates in the race accept my apologies and understand my decision to be on the floor of the U.S. Congress tonight, fighting for the tax relief our families deserve.
